Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, Tapping) is a highly effective trauma desensitization method, equally applicable to daily self-care, deep healing, and clinical use by mental health and other medical professionals.
No prerequisite. CE/contact hours are offered to counselors, social workers, psychologists, nurses and massage therapists.

Unresolved traumatic events can cause depression, anxiety, relationship stress, psychosomatic pain, energy depletion, and a host of other physical and emotional symptoms.
In this training, we will introduce a number of tapping techniques that can decrease or completely desensitize the effects of trauma:

For those who are attending for self-care purposes, please understand that this training can bring up difficult emotional material. If you suspect you have severe unresolved trauma, please consult your therapist or a doctor before attending this workshop.
We recommend that you have at least basic familiarity with tapping before attending this workshop. We will review the basics of the technique briefly at the beginning of the training.
In this training, we will introduce a number of tapping techniques that can decrease or completely desensitize the effects of trauma:
- tearless trauma and other gentle techniques
- the movie clip technique
- tell the story technique
- how to bypass the traumatized person's natural resistance to remembering or talking about a painful event
- how to treat acute stress caused by a car accidents or violent crime, before it turns into PTSD
- how to work with complex trauma, caused by multiple incidents (such as war trauma, or childhood sexual and physical abuse)
- how to treat pre-verbal (early childhood) trauma, or desensitize an event that a person doesn't remember
- how to care for secondary trauma (when you, your client or someone in your family has witnessed or heard about a traumatic event, including secondary trauma caused by television)
