Somatic Installation & Somatic Entrainment
From fleeting “glimmers” to embodied traits — and from solo change to shared resonance.
Therapists, healers, and dedicated feelers know this truth: insight alone doesn’t rewire the nervous system. Our work translates felt experience into lasting capacity—in individuals and in groups.
SOMATIC INSTALLATION™
A structured, body-led process that turns brief positive moments--glimmers—into durable traits. Drawing from positive neuroplasticity, we help the nervous system spend more time in the “green zone” of safety, satisfaction, and connection so the good can actually stick.
Three core elements:
SOMATIC ENTRAINMENT™
A relational practice that harnesses gentle group resonance so bodies learn from bodies. Through synchrony (breath, rhythm, attention), co-regulation becomes a multiplier: individual states stabilize more easily inside a well-held communal field.
Why it matters (for clinicians and communities)
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE (IN PRACTICE)
When a domain feels scarce (e.g., relationships), we start where glimmers already exist (e.g., creativity, nature, service) and cross-install—letting the body learn the felt signature of sufficiency before applying it to the tougher terrain.

LINEAGE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Somatic Installation™ and Somatic Entrainment™ honor and integrate:
Bottom line: Somatic Installation™ builds the inner wiring; Somatic Entrainment™ builds the relational field. Together, they make desired states more available, more shareable, and more real—in bodies, relationships, and communities.
- Prolong – Stay with a beneficial state long enough for the nervous system to register it.
- Amplify – Gently intensify salience through breath, micro-movement, imagery, voice, and relational mirroring.
- Absorb – Let the body receive it: settling, savoring, and (when appropriate) using tapping methods to deepen installation.
- Bottom-up + top-down integration. We pair somatic cues with meaning-making so new patterns are felt and understood.
- Trait-level change. Instead of chasing dysregulation, we build the neural, somatic, and relational infrastructure for preferred states.
- Ethical scalability. In groups, entrainment amplifies access to safety and connection without forcing intensity or disclosure.
- Clinically congruent. Methods are consent-based, trauma-informed, and work alongside parts-aware approaches.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE (IN PRACTICE)
- Micro-movement & breath: find the most enjoyable way to breathe; let the body follow a glimmer with subtle movement.
- Vocal / movement play: simple toning, one-breath songs, InterPlay-style practices (e.g., Name-and-Gesture, Babbling) to amplify ease and aliveness.
- Tapping for installation and release: EFT-informed sequences to either clear blockers (safety, possibility, identity, deserving) or “tap in” the desired state. When using Heart Installation, we acknowledge the method developed by Victoria Rader as part of Free-mE™ EFT.
- Parts-aware awareness: include protective parts while installing a Desired Emotional State (DES) such as relaxed alertness, sufficiency, belonging, or joyful steadiness.
- Group resonance: paired or triad practices (with clear consent and no required self-disclosure) that let participants borrow and lend regulation.
When a domain feels scarce (e.g., relationships), we start where glimmers already exist (e.g., creativity, nature, service) and cross-install—letting the body learn the felt signature of sufficiency before applying it to the tougher terrain.
The arc (how change consolidates)
- Orient – Glimmers vs. triggers; red-zone/green-zone literacy.
- Install – Prolong • Amplify • Absorb the DES.
- Entrain – Let the group field stabilize and extend access.
- Generalize – Bring the state into daily micro-moments and new domains.
- Re-evoke – Train recall on demand; build trait-like familiarity.

LINEAGE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Somatic Installation™ and Somatic Entrainment™ honor and integrate:
- Positive Neuroplasticity (inspired by Rick Hanson’s work on installing the good),
- Interpersonal Neurobiology (Daniel J. Siegel) for understanding how minds and bodies co-regulate,
- InterPlay (Cynthia Winton-Henry & Phil Porter) for embodied, playful practices, and
- EFT/Tapping (originating with Gary Craig) for both release and installation.
When we use Heart Installation, we credit Victoria Rader (Free-mE™ EFT) as the developer of that technique.
